Portrait Painting ProcedureAfter numerous requests, I am pleased to announce I am accepting commissions for portraits. Please direct all inquiries to: cxc422@hotmail.com
The portrait procedure begins with a meeting or corespondence to discuss and agree upon the mood, the size, and background of the portrait. The clothing, setting, and where the painting will hang are also discussed. Each painting is carefully thought out with careful insight about the personality of the subject. At this time, or at another meeting, numerous photographs, notes and sketches will be done. Then a small preliminary oil sketch and a full size preliminary drawing of the portrait will be presented to the client for approval and/or adjustments. Some live sittings may be requested and one final sitting is requested for any minor adjustments. Upon completion, the portrait will be delivered with insured satisfaction. |
