9/30/05- Painted the rest of the figure. Painted foreground. I am pleased with the foreground.

9/29/05- Tightened up the detail in the buildings, trees, and fields. Painted leftmost shoe and leg.

9/28/05- Short Day. Started painting in the trees and buildings in the background. I also lightened Twombly (the light dog).

9/26/05- Decided to darken the sky and background trees. Things are not going well.

9/22/05- Painted the underpainting. I took 4 photos of it in progress, which you see on the left.

9/21/05- Finalized prep images and sketched composition onto canvas

9/20/05- Stretched canvas and primed Worked out prep images

9/19/05- Built stretcher
